Mary Jean Medley Esslinger, age 77 of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Drew Esslinger officiating. Burial will be at Lee’s Chapel #1 Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Esslinger of Carriere; sons, Walt Esslinger and wife Amy of Carriere, Steve Esslinger and Holly Bilbo of Caeser; daughters, Janice Douglas and husband Wayne of Hazelgreen, Alabama, and Jennifer Cuevas of Carriere; sisters, Martha Whitt and husband Gene of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Rachel Welch and her husband Bobby of Lewisburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Drew Esslinger and wife Meagan, Cooper Esslinger, Peyton Esslinger, Sara Esslinger, Melissa Brewer and husband P.J., Cody Cuevas and his wife Amanda, Lee Cuevas and his wife Erica, Dillon Esslinger, Donald Rogers and his wife Jennifer, Alan Rogers, Crystal Reid and her husband Chris, Lee Whitworth and his wife Kelly; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Everett and Mary Elizabeth Medley; and daughter, Melissa Esslinger.
