Condolence: I began playing the guitar at 4 yrs old, and one of the main reasons for that, and for me still playing 56 years later, was Mr. Ray. In Bogalusa in the early 60's people used to "visit" on Friday and Saturday nights, and I could not wait for when we would go visit Mr. Ray. He would always drag out the guitar and his old Gibson amplifier and show me something new to play. It was truly one of the highlights of my childhood. I've loved him ever since and will miss him dearly.
Condolence: Dear Helen and family While I am saddened by his passing and we know he is in the arms of our Savior, He would not want us to be sad. He was so much fun, loved the guitar, loved the fire department and loved being a christian and was as proud of the BIG watermelon as if another grandchild. I will think of him often of our trip to FL to see him and the fond memories of him calling me "my Frances"
Condolence: Mr Ray, I don’t think I’ve ever met you, but the fruit that you bore, your son, Harold and his dear family, has truly been a blessing to me and my family and so many others. I pray that the Lord Jesus will be rich in comfort to all those who loved you that remain here on earth.
Condolence: Ray loved to garden. After so many years of gardening and sharing his produce with family and friends, he is no doubt enjoying the boutiful, beautiful heavenly gardens. Will there be whopper watermelons in Ray's heavenly garden?
Thank you, Ray, for sharing your life with our sister Helen. We will miss you but know that you have gained your heavenly reward.
